Northern Norwich Win Archery Competition

The County Archery Competition was held at Stody on the 20th June and Northern Norwich entered two teams. The scouts were selected following the District Archery competition which had been held in April as part of our District Master at Arms event.

The competition required each scouts to shoot 12 arrows, 6 from 15 metres and 6 from 10 metres. The score from their best 8 arrows were added together to give their score.

The Northern Norwich “A” team members were:

Louis Drane (16th Norwich)
Thomas Moye (27th Norwich)
Will Dawber (2nd Hellesdon)
Jared Stanton (1st Horsford & St Faiths)
Joshua Clarke (44th Norwich)
Andrei Mihalache (18th Norwich)

The team were joint winners of the competition with a score of 386 point. Ben Irving was our top scorer with a total of 70 points.

Congratulations to them all and also to the members of the “B” team who also did well finishing 3rd gaining valuable experience.
