Explorer Scouts at Gilwell 24

Northern Norwich Explorers enjoyed 24 hours of activities at Gilwell 24 at the weekend.  This is a national event for Explorers and Girl Guiding’s Senior Section.

15 Explorers from Nelsons Victory and HAndS ESU’s, along with 3 leaders travelled to Gilwell on Friday evening. On arrival they enjoyed a disco and exploring the site.

Saturday morning came and, following the opening ceremony of party music, the countdown began. From 9 am onn Saturday to 9 am on Sunday the Explorers were challenged to stay awake, trying as many of the 123 activities as they could.

They enjoyed Fair ground rides, mini tanks, airbag jumping, inflatable’s, quad bikes, 7 seat pedal bike, 3G swing, laser quest, disco’s, films, escape rooms, the caving bus and much more.

To top it all – the weather was glorious.
