16 Explorer Scouts Invested

16 new Explorer Scouts were invested on the top of St. John’s RC Cathedral tower.

Northern Norwich District Commissioner, Lisa Wright and County Commissioner, Matthew Burrell, joined Nelson Victory Explorer Scout Unit from Northern Norwich on Wednesday 8th  November, when 16 new members made their promise at the top of St. John’s RC Cathedral tower in Norwich.  This brings membership of the Unit to about 30 young people.

After they had climbed the nearly 300 steps, everyone had a chance to catch their breath while they enjoyed the amazing views over the city.

While up there, DC Lisa took the opportunity to present Martin Page, District Explorer Scout Commissioner, with his Wood Badge.  The Wood Badge is the recognised symbol that an adult leader has completed all of the training necessary to hold their volunteer role.

Well done Martin and welcome Explorers!
