1st Smiles Launch Event

The 1st Smiles Scout Group, a collaboration between Norfolk Scouts and Nelson’s Journey, was launched at Eaton Vale Activity Centre on Saturday 25th May.

The event was attended by young people looking to join all sections of Scouting and by the new Leaders and helpers from other groups around the country.

After registration the members of Norfolk’s newest Scout Group gathered together to learn about opening ceremonies and the meet each other as well as the new Leaders.

After a break for refreshments, the older sections had a go on the high ropes and crate stacking, whilst the younger sections tried go-karting and archery. It was a competition to see who could make the most noise – the Cubs and Beavers who got good scores at archery, or the Scouts wobbling at the top of a stack of crates about to fall over!
