District Shooting and Archery Competition

District Shooting and Archery Competition

We were pleased to be able to hold our District Archery and Shooting competitions again after a two year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  The event was held at the 18th Norwich Scout HQ over the weekend of the 2nd & 3rd April and 18 teams from 10 Groups took part in different shooting and archery disciplines.

Archery Competition

The archery competition was made up of 2 disciplines in which the scouts had 9 scoring arrows at 10m and 9 scoring arrows at 15m.

The scores for each team were then totalled up to give us an overall winning team along with individual winners at 10m, 15m and an overall individual winner

2nd place team – 3rd & 4th Norwich B – Lily-Rose Arnull, Lewis Parsons, Wade Matthews, Noah Gibbs

Highest scorer 15m – Ethan Holmes-Smith (16th Norwich B)

Shooting Competition

The shooting competition consisted of four different disciplines – kneeling, standing, prone with a rifle and pistol shooting
